The Flash is a fictional character in a made up universe called the “DC Universe”, and he’s become such a big iconic character he’s been portrayed by actors in TV shows and movies. In the 1990’s version of the “Flash”, John Wesley Shipp played the iconic hero Barry Allen (The Flash).

John makes another appearances in the later 2014- and still going show, “The Flash” played by Grant Gustin as The Flash , but John plays another speedster named Jay Garrick.

In the DCU, The Flash is played by Ezra Miller, not too well just from the fact that he’s not portraying by the comics.

Barry Allen, At age 11, Barrys’ life changed completely when his mother was murdered by the hand of the “Reverse Flash”, and his innocent father was convicted of her murder.

 In prison for his child hood and a lot of his adult hood, defective Joe West was the one who took him in and raised. Eventually he Marries his “sister” of some sort Iris west later comes Iris West Allen.

Barry Allen went his whole life trying to prove his dad wasn’t the murderer. Soon after, defeating the Reverse Flash, he admitted in a video that he was the one who did it and his dad was let free. Later on, being killed by Zoom another faster speedster.

Back to his powers, The Flash becomes the flash by a lighting that had struck him causing him to land in chemicals. There were chemicals because he was a well known forensic scientist. At the time he was in the forensic lab. The lightning strike caused him to be in a nine month coma, which he woke up to the powers of super speed. He kept getting faster the more he ran and the more he fought and trained. He eventually ran through the sound barrier breaking it. Later on, running on water and being able to faze through solid objects. As he trained to fight Zoom he learned to hurl lightning later finding out it turned against him since Zoom taught him to do that. The Flash is also able to travel back or forward through time just by running fast and thinking of where he wants to go.
